Operation and maintenance of a sewer system

Operating and maintaining the sewage system over many years creates several challenges: inspections and maintenance of the network, corrective actions, odors, problems and presence of improper waste disposal (wet wipes and other hygiene waste, oils, greases, etc.) influence sewer maintenance even in a very demanding way.

The implementation of sensors in the network will help to move from a corrective and experienced based on predictive maintenance to an ideally 100% preventive maintenance with condition based maintenance strategy that monitors the actual condition of an asset to decide what maintenance needs to be done at the exact location to happen. There are currently periodic inspections to know the state of maintenance and thus the functioning of the infrastructure. The use of water flow meters, water quality sensors, autosamplers in combination with remote connection, real-time information and analysis will set a precedent for further migration to smart control and digitization of operations.

This service reduces a number of pains and creates several gains.
